My Way is a son of Mylord Carthago, the famous Carthago son out of the renowned mare Fragence de Chalus (by Jalisco B). Fragence de Chalus is the mother of, among others, Bamako de Muze (by Darco) and grandmother of so many top jumping horses that capture the imagination.
Carthago, the son of Capitol I, was one of the best jumping stallions in the world for many years. Under Jos Lansink, he won several Grand Prix competitions at the highest level. He won the Nations Cup in Aachen, Rotterdam, and La Baule, and he was successful at the 1996 (Atlanta) and 2000 (Sydney) Olympic Games. My Way jumped at the highest level until the summer of 2022 with the Brazilian rider Luiz Francisco de Azevedo.
The dam line of My Way is equally enticing. The mare T-Cassina (by Cassini I x Caretina) is also the mother of Uricas vd Kattevennen (by Uriko), who competes at 1.60m level with Harrie Smolders. Grandmother Chika's Way (by Caretino) jumped at 1.60m level with Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann. Further down the dam line, one international jumping horse after another emerges.
